The books I’m reading…
Dear friend,
As always, there are several books on my stack at the moment and I’m especially eager to share these with you as they’ve been such wonderful reads!
Every Home a Foundation by Phylicia Masonheimer
If you’re the keeper of a home in any sense, this book belongs on your book list and I would consider moving it to the top.
Phylicia does a beautiful job of capturing the history of homemaking, the purpose to be found in this endeavor, and the eternal significance that our homes hold.
Truly, a work of art.
After listening to this one in audiobook form, I gathered up some friends and started going through the book once again with them. Our conversations have been rich and so inspiring.
Read the book, friend!
The Nature of Rest by Eryn Lynum
I don’t often add a devotional-style book into my morning Bible time but this one felt like the right fit for this season.
As a mama, business owner, and just by nature, someone who finds value in what they can do and accomplish, I’ve been contemplating the concept of rest and the place it holds in my life. This book has already been a meaningful study for me and comes in such small bits that it’s easy to consume for all.
I would highly recommend this as a summer read. Eryn has a beautiful gift with words and brings you to a place of wonder at creation.
Garden City by John Mark Comer
I started listening to this one in the car and it has been so thought-provoking.
Though there are small details I would see differently - John Mark Comer does a wonderful job of bringing simplicity to deep topics. This one was especially enjoyable in audio form and sparked some meaningful conversations with my husband.
Give it a read and tell me what you think!
Now help me keep my book list going and leave a comment with your current favorite reads!
Please and thank you!
Amanda
