A Whole Lot of Change

Hey Friends!

Some of you may have heard, and some may have heard a little, and some may not have heard at all, but it's now official that I will be (temporarily) moving to the great state of Colorado come end of September!

I really didn't have this in the plans but God opened up this opportunity a few months ago and after much prayer and watching Him work the details out, I am confident that this is where I'm supposed to be for the next 10 months.

In case you're curious of why I'm going/what I'll be doing....

As many of you know, I've spent quite a bit of time in CO over the last year and a half at a school called Ellerslie. I will be moving back on campus and participating in a sort of experiment program with the purpose of training people in the area of evangelism and discipleship! These are both areas that God has been challenging me on in a big way, over the last 6 months and I am excited to be able to grow more and learn in a greater way, how to put them into practice!

I really didn't know what to do when this opportunity first came up but God has provided in so many beautiful ways that I just have to share a few...

A car....Realizing that I was going to need a car while there was one of the biggest "mountains" that I knew would have to be moved! With my budget I was going to be excited to find one that runs and would last a year! Now I find myself with a title in my name for a 2008 Pontiac G6! With tremendous thanks to some incredible people in my life and a gracious God who can work in amazing ways, I now have a car! He is so good!!

A Job...I started looking into nanny jobs awhile ago and have found quite a few, but most of them were more with the thought of "this will work I guess". All but one, that is! And that's the one the Lord has given me! I will be nannying for a family that has recently moved from Australia and helping them out as they have their third child. I've been able to talk with them through the phone/email and I am so excited to be a part of their family for awhile!

I'm confident that after providing in these areas in such a short time and in miraculous ways, He will continue to provide and lead me!

Here's a little glimpse into what my days will look like-

Each morning we will have a 45 minute "class" of sorts, discussing and learning about a variety of different subjects pertaining to the Christian life and hearing from a variety of teachers.

I'll nanny for about 5 hours a day, as well as spend time growing in the areas of prayer and study.

In the evenings there will be the opportunity for focused evangelism in some way. Most likely groups going out to near by city's and sharing with those they come in contact with.

I love the staffs heart for evangelism as they seek to have us cultivate a life of evangelism not just a few hours so we can check it off of our list. They desire us to grow In the ability to always be ready with an answer and turn any conversation back to the Creator in some way, even a small one. The goal is to bring people even one step closer to the cross and be bold with the news that can change a sinner without hope, to an adopted child of God!

I plan to visit home as much as possible over the next year and I hope to see many of you during those visits!! If you'd like to follow along on this little adventure, I'll be sharing through this blog, so be sure to watch!

Leaving will be so hard for me, but He is leading and that means I must follow and there's no better place than in the center of His will!
